Day two we went to the historic town of Valdese NC.
There is a town park with a waterfall and grist mill.

This was another short hike more of a short walk no hiking involved . Less than half a mile and your at the falls. You can go down to the bottom and sit .
It was beautiful. I researched this before we Left for our mountain trip and I knew it would be a great place to visit.

The kids loved it. In the creek above the falls there are so many rocks and of course Colton had to go out on them.

You go on a short trail past the grist mill down the hill and your at the bottom of the falls.
On this trip I wanted us to do different things because we have hiked so many trails around Boone NC.
It has a field by the creek with cement pipes for kids to run in and out . We stayed here about an hour . It was fun !!
