We headed to Boone last weekend for our spring mountain trip. I had activities ready for us but we didn't know we would be getting SNOW !!

While driving in Friday afternoon Jeremiah said hey it's snowing. And it was  but  It was just flurries .We got our keys , bought groceries and picked up pizza and headed to the cabin.

We love this little cabin and it looked so pretty with snow

As soon as we got there the snow started coming down heavier. It was pretty and the kids were excited
Saturday morning we woke up to about an inch of snow. I had a waterfall visit planned in elk park , NC.
We still went and it was the most beautiful waterfall I have seen in my hiking experiences.
It was only  a half mile hike and we were so thankful for that because it was so cold.
Words cannot describe this waterfall . Pictures don't do it justice but I took

It was about 40 minutes outside of Boone ..

Worth the drive. It's a must see ...

It was a little tricky getting to this spot because it was Icy and slick 

So just me and Colton went to the bottom of the falls ..

Jeremiah and Waylon stayed at the top 

There is a sandy beach spot at the bottom also ..

We will be going back to this spot !!!

I can't say it enough Go See this Waterfall if your in the area !!!

I wanted us to hike at beech mountain because it said there was a waterfall on  a short trail but we weren't ready to hike in four inches of snow ..
