Hello July ...18 month check-up

July is here and it is bringing the heat with it.. whew!!!

Wednesday  was Waylon's eighteen month check-up !' He is still very small for his age but he is gaining and growing ..

He is to drink two pediasure's a a day and maybe some other things I can try .. 

He is a very active little boy and he burns a lot of calories ..  ..

He gained almost two pounds and grew 1/4 inch since his fifteen month check-up 

He did gain more but had two back to back cold /sinus viruses and his ears were draining ., during that time he lost a little ..

Developmentally he is doing wonderful ..

He didn't have to get any shots ..

He cried the whole appointment .. While we were riding he was giggling and  saying mommy but as soon as we walked in the office he started crying .. 

The pediatrician said that is normal for toddlers.. It was hard to carry on a conversation because he was crying so

She wants to see him in three months instead of six to re-weigh and give him a flu vaccine ... 

Normally you go from the  eighteen month appointment to the two year old check-up.. But she wants to be careful because of flu season and she hopes he has a little more weight by then ...
