The tubes were necessary for him because he was getting so many ear infections..
Monday when I got home from work the boys started playing in the front room with daddy while I was doing laundry. Jeremiah came quickly down the hall calling my name and holding Waylon saying look at his ear..
I noticed blood in his left ear and it looked bad. I was upset and told colton to get his shoes on and we went straight to the pediatrician .. I called on the way and they had a 4:20 opening .. We left our house at 4pm and the office is in Matthews .. Jeremiah said we will make it .. We got there and 4:22 .. Our pediatrician wasn't available.
The doctor said it was most likely an ear infection but there was so much blood and drainage he couldn't see all the way into the canal .. He even cleaned it out a couple of times.
He started him on an antibiotic and said no drops. I was still concerned you know how moms are.
So on the ride home I called the ENT. They said do the steroid drops and no antibiotic. I don't like him being on an antibiotic unless it's necessary so I wasn't sure what to do.
Tuesday I decided to do both the antibiotic and drops . His ear looked better. Wednesday morning I called the ENT Again . They said lets take a look today . So Wednesday afternoon we all went to the ENT
together. The doctor took a piece of tissue and rolled it real small and put it in his ear and pulled out a yucky clot of blood that was blocking the tube . He said now Waylon can hear. So for two or three days he wasn't hearing good out of his left ear. You couldn't tell because he was so happy. Once he saw the tube he said it was a little irritated/ swollen all around the tube not an ear infection and steroid drops for a week should clear it up..
The right ear looked great.... He wants to see him in the summer again and sooner if we need too...
I was happy and finally felt good with the answers we got. I just wanted to make sure we did the right thing for him. My husband says I can be PERSISTENT but I call being a mommy. :)

This afternoon we are headed to the dentist for Colton :( the tooth he just had worked on two weeks ago is hurting and It's just me taking the boys ...
