summer storm

Last Thursday night we had an awful storm !! My husband told me a storm was coming but I had no idea the winds would be so bad.

We were cooking dinner and it got very dark in less than five minutes . As soon as we sat down to eat the winds started . The winds were awful the news said they were close to sixty miles an hour .
We lost power immediately after the winds started . We didn't get power back for almost 24 hours .

That night we all slept in the master bedroom . It was hot without the air. We opened a few windows . I didn't sleep much at all. I kept checking everyone and checkng to see if we had power .
At three forty five Friday afternoon we had power !! We considered taking shelter At my neighbors house a few times. They have a storm cellar . After the High winds the rain came it was a heavy downpour !! I was so thankful we didn't have any tornados ! When we drove around there were trees down everywhere. It was crazy !!! I hope we don't see any more storms like that !!
