pnuemonia

Waylon has pnuemonia we found out on monday at the pediatrician's office. It was a visit I will never forget. Colton was crying I was crying it was a mess. They had to take blood and Waylon screamed the whole time. I couldn't calm him down at all. Then they had to put him in a xray machine to view his lungs. This xray machine is awful it closes them in so they can't move and there arms are up the whole time .I had to hold his arms.  I was so glad when it was over. Colton stood behind the wall and cried because he said they were hurting his baby. Jeremiah wasn't with us.


When the doctor came back in the room I could tell by her face it was pnuemonia before she even said. She put him an an antibiotic and told me to monitor his breathing at home. I have become a pro at watching his breathing. I know what to look for . They keep telling me his lungs are scarred from the RSV and any cold he gets turns into an upper respiratory infection quicker than most babies. I

The doctor's also said every cold/upper respiratory infection he get's makes him stronger.  Right now he is coughing alot and wheezing a little . The cough sounds bad but he is handling his breathing well. I have been doing some breathing treatments at home . Mostly at bed I will do a breathing treatment and first thing in the morning.  Colton helps me witht he breathing treatments . He is such a helper when his brother is sick and all the time..
