Baby Waylon's Surgery

Baby Waylon's surgery went so good. I am so happy.  We couldn't have asked for a better surgery :)

I knew He was a tough cookie :)


I nursed him at 2:45 am and got him back to sleep. We left our house at 4:45 and I changed his diaper and clothes right before we left and he didn't even wake up .When we got to the hospital he woke up. I kept thinking he is going to get mad any minute because he is hungry. He started getting fussy right when it was time.

I did really good I cried one time when they took him away. He looked back and smiled at me and I started crying. The nurses told me it's okay mommy we got him and will take good care of him. The staff at Levine hospital is so nice. They do a wonderful job .

I was so happy when the doctor came in to talk to us only 45 minutes after he started. He said we are done. I couldn't believe it and he said depending on recovery you should be out of here  by lunch.He only had one hernia on the left they checked the right but it was okay.

In recovery the nurse said every baby is different and they let them wake on there own and when they wake they usually have a hard time latching and nursing. I thought to myself not Waylon he loves to eat !! He woke up in ten minutes ate and burped and she said that's all I need to see. We left the hospital before ten am. He has some discomfort where the incision is but babies heal very well .. They said he needs extra TLC  AND HE IS GETTING IT.  I am so proud of my little bruiser! Oh and they weighed him before surgery and he is up eight more ounces and now weighs fourteen founds six ounces WOW !! Some of the nurses said he doesn't miss a meal does he :)
