Healthy snacks for kids ..



I'm working on some new snack ideas for Waylon .. I'm trying to get his weight up and the pediatrician said  more protein.
I've been giving him clif z bars for kids . He loves them...
She said those were good but the  Protein is only three grams.

He loves peanut butter . He eats is by the spoonful. and he loves PB  and  J ...
 I'm going to start making him smoothies in the evening's at bedtime .. . I'm sure both boys will want one..
He also drinks pediasure and lots of whole milk..
He loves cheese sticks too.
Last night I was eating one of my favorites hummus . I dip pretzels in it .. He  reached for it and He loved it .. It's high in calories and good for you .. I'm so happy I have a new snack for him ..

English muffin pizzas is another snack idea he might like.  He also likes sloppy Joe's ..
I'm continuously thinking of new ideas for him. I keep looking up new recipes to try...

I found a recipe for homemade bars, I'm going to try them this weekend.
I want him to gain weight but not off of junk food so it's been a little challenging..
He burns a lot of calories because he never sits still..
He is getting a flu vaccine in three months and a re-weigh ..Hopefully With my new recipes I can get his weight up for that appointment.. He doesn't appear very small when you see him. He actually looks average but according to the charts he is in the lowest percentile. I've read some other moms stories and some of there kids were so low they didn't even make the chart . I know the charts are there for a reason but I try not to worry to much because every child is different. When Colton was little he was always in the fiftieth percentile or higher.
