A weekend virus...

feeling better and putting food on his head..

Friday Morning when Waylon woke up before school he felt a little warm . Nothing alarming and after he ate breakfast he had cooled down.  He was also laughing and playing with his brother,  he seemed great..

When I picked him up at 2:30pm at the sunshine house  he was still asleep on his cot and I grabbed him and kissed his head and he was so hot...I asked the teacher if she had noticed and she said no but kissed his head too and said wow he is warm. I always carry a thermometer in the diaper bag so When I got to the car I took his temperature and it was 103...

Played outside yesterday for the first time all weekend!!

I knew something was going on. I called the pediatrician while I was driving to get Colton and they said there is a lot of viruses going around with high fever and upset stomach.
After I picked up Colton we went to CVS and got Tylenol and I gave him his dose in the parking lot because he was so hot...
By the time we got home it was starting to come down a little. It was 102..

The Pediatrician recommended I just watch him and rotate Tylenol with Ibuprofen every three hours to help with the fever. Saturday morning while he was eating  breakfast he got chills and his lips looked purple.
We decided to get him checked out at Urgent care. He also had a skin rash appear over night Friday night and diarrhea had started .

The doctor at urgent care and said it was just a virus and It could last up to five days. She said she wondered if it was a very mild case of chicken pox but we will never know.. They are treated the same with medicine and fluids..
She said everything else was fine and rotate the medicine like I was and the purple lips was the body trying to cool itself off and the chills.

All day Saturday he ran a fever and Sunday . His fever broke Monday morning at 4am. He did not get  a fever all day Monday . This was a bad virus he barely ate . He would eat small bites of stuff and that was it . I made sure he drank lots of fluids . Monday his appetite picked up  and today he seems great . I hate it when my kids are sick . He was acting goofy yesterday  more like himself..
I kept him home with me Monday just to make sure the fever was gone...

I am  so HAPPY he is better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
