Boone NC / beautiful fall color

Upon  arrival the cabin was beautiful but had not been cleaned ..ugh

We called the after hours maintenance and they apologized and asked if we wanted to go to dinner on them . So we headed to chilis  .

Hebron rock colony

The cleaning crew did great while we were gone but the kids were tired it was 9 pm when they were done .

We really enjoyed ourselves . The leaves were perfect . It's funny each year I try to time it perfect for the color and I think we got it . You could see yellow, orange and red everywhere . The cabin was in a different area then we were used to  . The area was called Foscoe closer to banner elk and Valle crucis. .  This park below was in Valle crucis. .

We loved this spot 

and went there three times .this was a new find for us and it was wonderful for kids . Easy trails and you can get in the river and play . 

we tried to go to one of our other favorite spots but it has been closed to visitors.

we know it as the hebron rock colony. It is beautful.  It had no parking signs up everywhere

and tow signs.

I didn't want to be towed .

:( I was a little sad but we went back to the cabin and soaked in the hot tub !!!

It was nice 

Colton loved the hot bath. (That's what he calls it ) !!
