We stayed near the dunes . It was beautiful . We've been to Holden beach with my husbands family four times . We usually stay closer to the middle of the island. This time we were on the west end near the dunes . This was walking out from the house we stayed in .

This is a shell that we found while taking a walk .
The only bad thing about the dunes is snakes . One night I took the boys by myself for a night walk on the beach .
It was around 7 pm . We were fine going out to the beach but on the way back Colton stared complaining (I'm tired mommy )!!! He sat down in the middle of the grassy dunes and said carry me . I was already carrying Waylon . I turned around and said colton were almost there please try to make it. When I turned back around a snake slithered by my foot missing it by inches !! Colton said he saved me by stopping :) then I did have to carry both of them . I managed but they were heavy !!!
