Day trip to Boone

This past weekend we took a day trip to Boone NC. I wanted to go to the mountains for the day and so did Colton so we talked my husnband into it. We had alot of fun. Colton loves the mountains.  Since he was two he has been about four or five times. Boone is so close to us . It took two hours and fifteen minutes be we stopped for me to use the restroom two times. That drives my husband crazy but I can't help it and now that I'm pregnant it is getting worse. After stopping at mountain bagel for breakfast we headed to  the Hebron Rock Colony . I found out about this place when I  was looking up things to do in Boone last October .It is a well known spot of college kids and it is beautiful. Once you get to the rocks you want to climb. It is so much fun but dangerous. I didn't do any climbing . My husband and little monkey did :) It was fun watching them climb atound . At one point my husband threw colton over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes to get him across some of the rocks. they were slippery . After we left the Hebron Rock Colony we headed to the Blueridge Parkway. Another beautiful spot in Boone Is Julian Price Park on the Blueridge Parkway . There are lots of user friendly trails and the lake . I love this spot.

We  wanted to go  back one time before the baby is born so we decided on October . That time of year is really beautiful with the leaves changing . I found another pretty spot for us to visit in Ocotber , Bass Lake . There are plenty of ducks to feed and flat trails which will be easier for me to walk.  I just love the mountains in the fall so I am really looking forward to that trip . It's just a short trip two nights but it will be nice. We are staying in the first cabin we ever stayed in . Its little but plenty of space for us and right on the river. The sound of the river is nice and boogie likes to look for fish in the river.  As soon as I told boogie we were going back in October he was so happy.
